You are ENOUGH!

AWETGB1PS6
Life isn’t always a day at the beach. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows, and it’s really easy sometimes to get caught up in picking at our looks or personality traits and wishing we were someone else. We wonder if we are pretty enough or thin enough. If we have enough friends, If our house is clean enough. If our children are intellectually advanced and involved in enough activities. We wonder why we were too shy to speak up at the meeting last week, or on the opposite side, why we were so outgoing at the mom’s get together and should have let someone else speak.

As women, and as mothers and wives we hold ourselves to this standard that really isn’t always REAL. Yes I said it. I am a firm believer in being honest and authentic and I am here to tell you that in REAL life, there are going to be messy moments. There are going to be times when your hair is up in (hey let’s just call it what it is, a rats nest.–not even a mom bun!) There are going to be times when your house looks like a war zone, times when your children are having tantrums and are fighting you on every little thing. There are going to be times when you yell at your kids or your husband over something that you quickly realize was not worth fighting over.

But that is REAL life. We pretend we have it all together, but why? You don’t need to pretend anymore, because NO ONE has it all together, and the beauty of it is, that’s OK!! That is where God steps in and says, my GRACE is sufficient. My power is made STRONG in YOUR WEAKNESS!! You are ENOUGH! {read that line again!}

You are not alone friends. Yes at times it may seem like you are the only one “without it all together.” but that is the farthest thing from the truth! Have you ever stopped to think, that maybe….just maybe the enemy wants you to think that you aren’t enough? Because if you knew just how amazing you really were, perhaps you would work harder at accomplishing those  Big, Amazing, God sized dreams He placed in your heart! And the enemy would not like that very much.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10

I encourage you beautiful ladies, to think about these words and let them really sink in this week. Please know that you are in fact, more than enough, in Christ. Remember to give yourselves grace and know that when you are drowning in this beautiful thing called life, Jesus is a wonderful lifeguard!

xo,

Elizabeth
